Historical Musical Train Tour – 11am Tour

July 27, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Board the miniature train at City Park’s Carousel Gardens Amusement Park for a 45 minute historical tour performed by singing guides featuring a catchy New Orleans rhythm & blues score! Discover the origins of City Park with a bite-size version of the park’s early history, with a fun and educational experience the whole family will enjoy. So come on, come on, come on…

BAYOU METAIRIE once was connected to the Mississippi River…

There’s hundreds of species of birds and thousands of other CRITTERS in the Park….

The PERISTYLE was built in 1907 for bands and dancing…

LIVE OAK TREES are evergreen trees, so most species don’t lose their leaves…

The PARK IS FOR ALL and garners about 16 million visits a year….

During the WPA (WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION) over ten miles of lagoons were dug by hand…
